Braehead Shopping Centre


As part of Braehead’s “Brae-liens” kids club they offer free entertainment every Sunday from 12pm to 4pm. With face painting, balloon modelling, crafts, clowns and much more there is always something to keep the kids amused while you shop.


Braehead is easily accessible from Glasgow, outside Partick Underground First Group offer a 20 minute service in the ‘Braehead Bullet’. It is also easily accessible by car with over 6500 free car parking spaces.

 

 

Glasgow Climbing Centre


Glasgow Climbing Centre offers something different and will keep energetic kids entertained. Routes are changed every two to three months to keep it new and exciting for regulars. Adrenaline junkie parents can also take part or you can wait in the cafe. You can pay in for one session or become a member and take advantage of cheaper rates. Either way, you have to book before you go, either online or by phone.


The centre is only 500m from Cessnock underground and just a bit further from Ibrox underground – detailed directions can be found on their website.

 

 

Seaforce

Based at Glasgow Harbour, Seaforce is a well kept secret in Glasgow’s West End. They offer high speed powerboat rides all along the Clyde. There are rides and tours of various lengths and prices so there is something to suit everyone. This experience can be enjoyed by all the family – even the dog!

The tours include:


Clyde Ride – where pets are welcome, it lasts for half an hour and costs £10 for adults and £6 for children.


Erskine Bridge – this tour takes you out to the Erskine Bridge where you will pass the Warships being built on the Clyde. This tour also gives you the opportunity to glance at planes on their final descent into Glasgow Airport.


Dumbarton Rock – 1 hour 30 minutes with an option stop off in Dumbarton for lunch.


Estuary Tour – This tour takes 4 to 5 hours and you will pass shipbuilding areas, catch a glimpse of sea life such as seals, porpoises and even sometimes whales. A stop in the coastal village of Kilcreggan or Rothesay can be included if required.


Also on offer for children over 8 years old is training and jet-skiing. As part of their training, kids will be able to take part in competitions organised by Seaforce.
